Matt Hollingsworth

Matt Hollingsworth is a personal injury trial attorney, licensed in Georgia and Pennsylvania. Selected as a Georgia Rising Star in Personal Injury – a distinction only 2.5% of attorneys in Georgia receive – every year consecutively since 2020, Matt is dedicated to helping people injured as a result of the negligence of others. He has experience working with Georgia and PA courts in civil litigation matters including automobile accidents, trucking cases, motorcycle accidents, medical malpractice, slip and fall, premises liability, dog bites, and other catastrophic injury matters.

Matt has experience in all stages of litigation, including pre-suit investigations, discovery, depositions, motions practice, settlement and mediation, and trial. Matt’s background includes working at two premier Atlanta law firms where he represented both plaintiffs and national insurance companies, teaching him the ins and outs of the insurance industry’s handling of claims.

Matt has litigated hundreds of personal injury and insurance defense matters, and acted as first-chair counsel in jury and bench trials. This background has prepared him with the ability to fight aggressively and strategically for accident victims and their families.

Education

Matt grew up in Gwinnett County, Georgia and graduated with his undergraduate degree in Economics from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. Interested in the advocacy and alternative dispute resolution program, Matt attended law school at the Pennsylvania State Dickinson School of Law. Matt focused his studies primarily on civil procedure, evidence, and trial advocacy, and earned his Juris Doctorate in 2013.

Public Service Experience

Matt has worked with various public service committees and organizations to assist the local community and legal services foundations. He has served as a Judge in the National Moot Court Competition and has assisted clients in a pro bono capacity with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Matt has worked as a mentor with the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. Matt has also been heavily involved with Habitat for Humanity in Pennsylvania and Georgia, as well as the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
